This past Friday's Smallville didn't advance the plot that much--next week, when we meet Jor-El on Earth, will probably be very mythological focused.
But it was still a solid outing this week. I still can't believe how terrible this show was the first few seasons, and now, it's easily one of my favorite sci-fi shows on TV.
Some of what I liked:
- Clark stopping the bullet in front of Oliver's eye just before it hits it... and Oliver sees how close it came.
- Zod isn't just building an army of Kandorians... he's also planning to use Earth's infrastructure (e.g. solar power) to his advantage as well.
What I didn't like:
- Lameness of Clark and Lois finally kissing--and waiting until the end of the episode to do it.
This week was pretty good--even better than Supernatural--can't remember the last time I thought that. But next week should be awesome.
